Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. Cheney relocated to Casper, Wyoming with his family at the age of 13. His father, who worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and directed the soil conservation district located in Casper.
