Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and has the record of being recognized with 10/10 scores in an Olympic performance. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci when she was six. Later, she would be Romania's gymnastics coach. First competing in the championships for juniors from Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. And in 1970, the Romanian gymnast won. At her first international event, which was an preolympics junior event for nations in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. And in 1973 and 1975 she was crowned all-around Junior Champion. At her first competition as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion, winning 4 gold and one silver medal. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first woman in history to complete a reverse double salto, which is a dismount from the uneven bars that are parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the world of entertainment began in her teens when she started skating figure alongside her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her career in entertainment in her teens. Her first professional gig was figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment show Ice Capades. These shows included skaters who were followed by musical performances.
