Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey began at 14 years old. She began training in kickboxing boxing BJJ and wrestling before completing her first amateur appearance at 18 at WCFC in a fight against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained confidence after her win, and she won three fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all by the start of the round. She then went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia was able to hand Aspen an unanimity loss and outclassed her to tarnish Ladd's career as an amateur. Ladd took her fight against Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 record. Aspen was first introduced to the sport in 2015, signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her, securing a first-round TKO. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's first fight as a bantamweight. Aspen defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to knock down McGill with a TKO during the third-round (elbows & punches). She next fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18, which was catchweight(138.1lb) because Ladd missed weight despite this Aspen dominated Hoy and defeated her in the second round with a TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final bout with the club. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a unanimity. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She fought Linalansberg at UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina with a pound and grind to her to the ground, gaining the TKO during the second round. Ladd continued to dominate and picked up a more impressive victory in her next match against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd beat Evinger with a punch during the initial round, and earned a Performance of the Night bonus. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee She fought Sijara Eubanks to win her first major fight. The two fights were an intense fight which Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. Both fighters were awarded an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within 16-seconds, ending her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya fell by Ladd in the third round of UFC 7.7 on ESPN. She fought Norma Dumont as a substitute for her fight last time with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was lost by unanimous vote.
