Zazie Beetz was born in 1991 was born in Berlin. Her father was a German Cabinet Maker who immigrated into the United States following the fall of the Berlin Wall. Zazie has been performing in theatres in the community and on stage in New York since her childhood. Zazie discovered that she loved acting when she was in school. PEOPLE stated that she had said: "I thought all those animals were horrible, being packed into there and just waiting to be killed. "I could not believe this was the way I'd taken my meat!" She has since stayed on a vegan diet.
