Jenna Fischer has become best well-known as Pam Beesly, the character she portrayed on The Office. For this part, Jenna was honored with two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy as well as an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Her mother, Anne, performed in church plays as a child and instilled a passion of performance and theater in Jenna. Jenna was inspired by her mom's performance in church when she first started out.
A trained theater actress, Fischer returned to her home base after finishing The Office. The Off-Broadway production of Reasons for Being Happy was written and directed by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. She then starred in Steve Martin's latest show Meteor Shower. It was an absurdist comedic piece opposite Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for an unprecedented time at the Old Globe Theatre.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer have launched Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf on October 19, 2019. The podcast has been an enormous success, making in the Top Ten worldwide every week, and receiving more than 200 million downloads in its first two-years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year award in January 2021.
She's also the co-author of Office BFF's Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends there. This autobiography is about the relationship between them and how they worked for The Office.
